This is an ongoing post in a series updated every month or so, detailing easy ways we know of to get QFF points – for free, or near to that.
QFF Account
You have one of these right? If not, time to get one! The standard claim is that they cost $89.95 $99.50, but there are links all over the internet for free sign ups. Here’s one of them. If it doesn’t work, LET US KNOW and we’ll get you another link.
Qantas Wellness App bonus
Part 1: Easy way to earn 150 Qantas Points? Use this affiliate invite link to download the Qantas Wellbeing App. Complete your first challenge – and the points are yours!
Part 2: Just for sleeping (yes, sleeping!) you can earn points, as well as for walking, running, swimming or cycling! Even if you’re not signed up for their insurance, the points tick on up!
Qantas Points Promoter
Qantas has released a Chrome/Firefox browser add on called the Qantas Points Promoter. Use it to get told when you’re on a website where you can earn Qantas points, and for it also to show in your Google search results, which sites can earn you points too. Also, the first 5,000 people to download/install it and use to purchase apparently get 500 bonus points too.
Qantas Travel Money
Going overseas? Qantas Travel Money / Qantas Cash lets you earn up to 5,000 points when loading currency onto a travel card.
Woolworths (new conversion rate!)
Do you shop at Woolworths? Get an Everyday rewards card. Then log into the website and connect it to your Qantas FF Account. You’ll earn 1 Woolworths Point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases at Woolworths, BWS, BIG W and selected Caltex and Caltex Woolworths Every 2,000 Woolworths Points reached will convert to 1000 Qantas Points and transfer immediately.
Kogan
In time for the latest Black Friday, Christmas or one of the many other sales Kogan has? Before you buy, login to your account and link it to your QFF account as well. Free points!
Deliveroo
You get 1000 points for your first order! Then top up your balance with 200 Qantas Points when you order four or more times in a calendar month. Not a member yet? Use our affiliate link for a discount off your first order.
Qantas Hotels AND AirBnB
Going away soon? You can earn 3 points per $1 spent on hotel bookings made through Qantas Hotels or AirBnB, via their online service that also offers no booking fees.
Qantas Assure Insurance
Do you have the Qantas Wellness app (see above) but not earning enough points? Want more? Get your insurance (health, travel, life) through Qantas Assure, earn points for paying your premium, often bonus points for joining, more points in the wellness app, and if you use our referral code (enh6ul) – an extra 5,000 points on sign up with a premium of >$40 a month. Pretty sweet!
Uber
Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn Qantas Points by requesting an Uber using the Qantas app for trips to or from eligible Australian airports. Frequent Flyers will earn one, two or three points per dollar spent depending on their status. Plus, members who link their Uber and Frequent Flyer accounts through the Qantas app earn an additional 2,000 Qantas Points on their first Uber ride anywhere in the country.
BankWest bank accounts
Australia’s first QFF points earning bank account – the Bankwest Qantas Transaction Account lets you earn Qantas Points on your purchases and account balance. Earn 12 points per $100 in your account each month, plus earn 5 points per eligible purchase using your card. You can also earn 5 points every time you withdraw cash from an overseas ATM.
Share Trading
Earn up to 10,000 Qantas Points when you open an IG Share Trading account and place 10 trades on their award-winning platform.
AustralianSuper
Earn 20,000 bonus Qantas Points with AustralianSuper -To be eligible for this offer, you must join AustralianSuper via this page before 31 December 2019 and contribute at least $350 within the first six months. If you join through another channel you won’t be eligible for this offer.
Qudos Home Loan
If you get a home loan with Qudos, you can earn 150 Qantas Points per annum for every $1000 of your loan balance, credited monthly.
OneWorld flights
You know Qantas is part of a worldwide airline alliance, right? Well they are, and it’s called OneWorld. If you fly with other members of this alliance (eg British Airways, Malaysia Airlines, American Airlines and more), you could be eligible to earn points on Qantas! To work out how many points you could earn, check out the earning table.
Other partner flights
Other airlines that aren’t part of OneWorld still can sometimes earn points on Qantas – have a look at their partner list (eg Alaska Airlines, Air Niugini) and see if there are more flights that might suit you to earn points.
While Sleeping
Earn 1 point per $1 spent across the entire Forty Winks range, plus use your points to reward yourself with leading brand mattresses, bedroom furniture and more, online and instore.
Chemist
Australia’s trusted pharmacy now helps keep your points balance in shape too. Simply join TerryWhite Chemmart REWARDS and earn 1,000 bonus Qantas Points when you spend $30 or more in-store within 90 days.
Plus you’ll earn 2 Qantas Points per $1 you spend on non-prescription products – from top brand fragrance, skincare and cosmetics to vitamins, over-the-counter treatments and health essentials.
Family transfers Ever a bit short, or need to top up your partner’s account a few points to get that upgrade? You’re allowed to make a transfer of 5,000-600,000 points once every 12 months.
Online Shopping at Qantas
One of the most easily forgotten but useful tips. Buying the new Apple device? Shopping books for Christmas? Login to the Qantas mall first, then link to the shop, and earn points as you shop! Booktopia, David Jones, General Pants, Apple, and many more…
