Qantas has launched “Find My Credit” – a helpful tool to assist in locating credit you may have had over the pandemic.
A lot has been written about the final extension for Qantas and Jetstar credits accumulated over the pandemic, but many have had trouble locating them, let alone using them. PNRs change, tickets get reissued, travel agencies change name, rebookings that got cancelled due to covid, and so on.
Fear not, fellow credit holder (yes, I’ve got some too), Qantas has launched a new tool to locate them!
It covers:
– tickets booked with Qantas directly
– tickets booked with Qantas through a travel agent (includes online sites)
– tickets booked through Jetstar
Note that you’ll usually need, depending on your source, one or more of:
– the last name(s) of passenger(s) on the booking
– the email address of the booking
– your Qantas Pass / Travel Pass details
– your ticket number or your PNR number (6 digit booking ref)
Putting your details in may identify whether your credit is ‘found’ under the booking you think, whether it may have new details – eg a new ticket number, and which agency is holding it. Note that if you did book through an agency, Qantas can only provide the details – you’ll still need to deal with the agency as you booked through them. It’s also possible to get the details emailed to you. Jetstar ones seem to require more of a different flow, unfortunately, with online help around getting the details sorted.
Once you’ve found your golden ticket missing credit, you can head on to the Qantas website and use it.
Now here’s the good and bad news. All credit from bookings made on/before 30 Sep 2021, you need to use it or lose it by December 31st, 2023, for travel any time up to and including December 19th, 2024. But if you use your credit to book a flight before July 31st, you get Double Qantas Points! So act fast, claim those points and most importantly, don’t lose those credits!
To access the double points promotion, customers will need to register at www.qantas.com/au/en/frequent-flyer/member-offers/double-points-travel-credits.html and book an eligible flight with a QF flight number. Double points will be awarded from eight weeks after travel.
