Yesterday was the final flight of the last Qantas 747, and they did a flyover of Sydney, before using their flight path to draw a virtual kangaroo (Qantas logo) before heading off to Los Angeles.
It’ll be decomissioned, and the hope is to have them replaced with 787s when air traffic increases against during/post Covid-19.
Hundreds of plane-spotters waited at key points around Sydney to catch a glimpse of the plane as it took off south from Sydney airport, passing by Shep’s mound, before heading up the coast, over the Sydney harbour and city, before finally heading out to sea.
