@TheGreatPlanes took this photo of Bonza's first 737 MAX

Bonza’s first plane touched down at MCY (Sunshine Coast) this morning.  It was spotted leaving Boeing Field (BFI) a couple of days ago:

The plane, flying as AB001 then flew from Boeing FIeld in Seattle to Honolulu (HNL), onwards to Nadi (NAN) and finally the Sunshine Coast this morning.

You’ll note the airline code of AB – the officially defined IATA code, which works as ‘Air Bonza’ but also their claimed business model of flying A to B, with no C.

Bonza has eight 737s on order with five to arrive in the first batch followed by three more next year.

The airline will have two bases – at Sunshine Coast Airport and Melbourne Airport and their initial routes are across Queensland, Victoria, and New South Wales.

Bonza’s currently announced destinations are: Albury, Melbourne Avalon, Bundaberg, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Gladstone, Mackay, Melbourne Tullamarine, Mildura, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba Wellcamp, Townsville, and the Whitsunday Coast.

They will be connected by at least 27 routes.
